"In My Heart He'll Stay"
by Elizabeth Henri
Written in loving memory of
Christopher Reeves Kansas 3/2/81- 8/2/98.
I see his body on the ground
Broken beer bottles all around
He thought that he would have just one
Go for a ride and have some fun
He lies there pail and cold as ice
why did he have to pay the price
If only I could hear his voice
Why did he have to make that choice
Looking at my friendship ring
too upset to say a thing
I can't believe I lost my friend
but I'll be with him until the end
Remember all the fun we shared
Remember just how much he cared
I can't believe the pain I feel
I can't believe that this is real
Though it feels my heart's a coal
Please Lord protect and take his soul
And I promise 'til my dying day
In my heart he'll always stay
We Love you Chris!!!
