"Over It"
by Lacey Shannon
Did you really think
I wouldn't know?
How could I not hear
Those rumors just seem to grow
Funny thing, huh?
Our little encounter
Marred by your embarrassment
And my big mouth
But still too inclement
And that's not all.
Summer dreams
Ripped at the seams
When your friends
Asked about me.
From time you learn
To let things go
I did, I swear
But you never know.
Like today, for instance.
Did you think it would stay quiet?
Maybe for you.
But now you are
Getting too cruel.
Don't tell me you think you can get away with it!
For hell has no fury like a woman scorned.
Untitled
I stumbled,
My drop of truth
Drowning
In an ocean of lies.
