"Leap of Faith"
by Michael Marchand
If a god created us,
The who created him?
How could've Christ been born,
From the womb of a virgin?
How can God live in us,
If he's not even alive?
If Jesus was all-powerful,
Why didn't he survive?
They say religion's a leap of faith,
That you gotta just believe.
In order to go through heaven's gate,
It's something you've got to achieve.
Peter loved the Savior,
But thrice he denied him.
Judas was Christ's follower,
But he also betrayed him.
When you think about it,
It's pretty off the wall.
That one simple man,
Could be the one that saves us all.
How can you believe in something,
That's so abstract.
How can you believe in something,
That's not based on fact.
How do you know,
If God exists?
How do you know,
When he's in our midst?
They say religion's a leap of faith,
That you gotta just believe.
In order to go through heaven's gate,
It's something you've got to achieve.
When you think about it,
It's pretty off the wall.
That one simple man,
Could be the one that saves us all.
